This vintage advertisement comes once again from a 1900 copy of
The Argus. Pictured are “The Old Man” and “The Boy,” owners of Newell Mill and Manufacturing Company of Seattle. The mill was located in what is now the
South Park neighborhood. When the town was annexed by Seattle in 1907, Newell Mill was its largest employer.
