If you read this blog regularly, you probably know that I’m a little obsessed with sports uniforms from the past. Check out these circa 1910 images of Seattle’s Lincoln High Basketball team and faculty team. The Junior and Second Team’s uni’s are especially simple — white tank top, white shorts (some shorter than others), white shoes. At just six players, there wasn’t much room for getting winded either. Give them a click for larger images.

Who IS that freak of nature faculty member - the one sitting on the bottom, far right?

I’m wondering more why only one of the faculty members has a mustache! It was 1910, after all!
BTW, some cool historical photos at http://www.seattleschools.org/area/archives/index.xml and especially here (though they’re in PDFs…looks like they have history files on all schools, existing and demolished. http://www.seattleschools.org/area/historybook/index.dxml)
If only the Parks Department’s Sherwood Files could get this treatment….

Oh, my, how short can these boys go???
You know, Cliffe, you seem like a smart, witty, all around nice guy but I have to say that frankly your obessession with sports uniforms of the past are borderline freak of nature. And I do mean this from the bottom of my heart in the kindest way possible.
