With First Hill recently
losing the Northcliffe Apartments, I was anticipating another landmark standoff when I saw construction equipment around the historic Marlborough building just a block away. When I noticed the
Live Historic banners yesterday as I drove down Boren, there was a sigh of relief. Sure enough, a quick look at their website
reveals the plans for 83 condos. In this market, you ask? Suppose so. I’m going to get in touch with the Live Historic people and see about a tour of the building.
Here’s a shot of The Marlborough from 1928. Awesome building and I’m glad it’s being renovated — but I’m also curious about what’s being taken out of there.

I really like the unusual color of the brick. I don’t see many buildings like that.

So gorgeous! I’m sure it will be equally fantastic to your other projects. Thank you Live Historic! You’ve done it again!

This is going to be a signature property development. The Marlborough House is a one-of-a-kind building in Seattle. It’s rich in character and seeped in history. I’m convinced this will be one of the classiest older condos in town when completed. Live Historic does a great job and I’ve seen what they have planned for this project. They are going to great lengths to preserve the character and style throughout. See our TheSeattleSpecialist.com blog on this and watch for more info to follow soon:

I like what LH has done with their other properties, but let’s keep the real estate cheerleading to a minimum until we see exactly what’s going on over there. Shall we?
