Houses, houses, houses. They’ve been ruling my life lately. And nothing makes you realize how humble your domicile is until you’ve had a look at some the homes of Seattle’s forefathers. Check out this 1901

The family still owns the newspaper. That is quote rare nowadays. Usually they would have sold out a couple of decades ago at least.

Yes, and Seattle is lucky to still be a two-newspaper town, thanks in part to the Blethens. The Times’ recent presidential endorsement…well, that’s another matter.
