I found something similar to this when my wife and I were remodeling our kitchen in our first house. It was dated around early to mid 50's. It was more of a tri-fold pamphlet. With the "Ground Zero" clearly mark. And evacuation routes and where to meet. Very Cool!!! Still have it today. I had found it....maybe 1987??

I also found a Superman photo from that same era. With the "Thanks for watching" autograph by George Reeves.

EVEN COOLER!!!!

I find it incredible that a lot of comments on this poo-poo the real threats we faced then and still do now. as if Kruschev wasn't an insane and very dangerous drunk with his finger on the nuclear button. Only in Seattle and San Fransico will you find such tepid, childish remarks. It really is striking.

Actually bin Laden would be a fascist, not a communist...he's a right wing extremist not a left wing extremist. But I do agree with Chloe that many who call themselves liberals are actually communists. A true liberal loves America and capitalism and individual LIBERTY (hence the word liberal). But if they are against corporations etc., that's not a liberal, that's a communist.

I'm glad the US of A has staid the course and not given into these commie bastards. Make no mistake, Fidel (commie), Bin Laden (commie/muslim), and Saddam (commie/dictator) lunched together and they hate America, just like the Liberals do.

Great find.

You can still see fallout shelter signs all over downtown. The one I've been inside of (I believe it's Xplore Fitness) certainly doesn't have a fallout shelter anymore. But I wonder if any of the shelters are still in working order.

This is awesome! And hey, it might have been propaganda, but the fears were very real... Cliffe, would you like to see a map of evacuation routes? I have one somewhere and could scan it.....
