Check out this early 1900′s ad for Holly Flour and the Mills of Lilly, Bogardus & Co. of Seattle. It makes me nostalgic for a time when speculators didn’t jerk our lives around so much.

And is the woman blind? Where’s her measuring cup? Does she know how much flour she’s putting in that bowl? Is she even following a recipe?! The bread probably DOES make the men of Alaska, it makes them have intestinal distress!
