Past Post: Where The Buffalo Roam

What a great weekend! I spent Saturday at a picnic in Seward Park for a friend who just graduated from law school (congrats, Athena) and d*mn was it nice. Hope your weekend was enjoyable as well — whether you spent it at Seward, Woodland sans buffalo, or wherever. Here come two postcards from Woodland Park in 1918 and 1920 with George, Snowball, and Aunt Lizzie checking in. Also, whatever happened to the herd of wild buffalo?
Dear Harriet,
Helen sends you this card she said. Snowball was getting along fine. Snowball says Hello to Rainbow. She said tell you she has has the Luna doll fixed up. She wants to know if her playhouse is on the porch yet. Say Hello to Lucile for her she will send her a card soon. Aunt Lizzie.
Dear Mother,
Seattle has grown so much that it resembles New York and Chicago. Perfect weather here now. Nights very cool.
George. June 8, 1918.

  1. The buffalo were served with fries soon after the picture was taken.

LOL! So were Snowball and Raimbow.

You hear that Cliffe? Seattle is as big as Chicago! The expert that George is said it best.
