I just ran across an old postcard from the City Center Motel going through a stack of old Century 21 stuff. My family and I stayed there in 1964 while we visited the World's Fair. We were en route to Ft Lewis, where my father was to be commander of the signal group assigned to the 4th Infantry Division. Lots of memories, mostly of things long gone, like the good old Bubbleator.

John M: You are correct. Same hotel. An ad for the Towne Centre was also in this publication. I'll post it soon.

Now a Holiday Inn Express, huh? Probably a good thing.

"Are you a doctor?"

"No, but I did stay at the City Center Motel last night!"

It's good that courtesy is important in regards to how they treat their guests. Also, just down right consideration.

The site of the Kings Inn Motel at 2106 5th Ave. is the same as the Towne Centre Motel shown on the postcard. The King's Inn looks like like it could be about that vintage. I wonder if it is the same building. The postcard depicts the Towne Centre as taking up the whole block on the "east" side of 5th, which the Kings Inn does not.
