Raise your virtual hand if you were at the
Solstice Parade in Fremond last weekend. Even better than the bikers, was the
Flying Spaghetti Monster. Check out the pictures
here if you missed it.
What a great float — and those spaghetti tentacles! Brilliant. In addition,
Anna ran
Beat The Bridge last month and sadly, the bridge beat her! It was for charity though — so all is well. Who made all this possible? A number of engineers, builders, and workers from 1917.
Check the plans and photos of the
Fremont Bridge being built.

Michael Attebery e-mailed me and let me know that this Dave Matthews album cover shows him on the Fremont Bridge:

Pretty cool.

I think it’s unfair to state that the bridge beat me! The line to start was so long that I didn’t get running until 2 minutes in!
Anna! What the devil are you doing here?? SECURITY!!
The same engineers et al did the University Bridge as well as the Fremont Bridge? I mean, the Beat the Bridge race is the University Bridge, not the Fremont (unless there’s another Beat the Bridge race…..)
You are correct. My mistake. This invalidates the already tenuous connection in my post. Let’s just strike this post.
