North Admiral’s 4423 SW Seattle

Right across the street from West Seattle’s historic Painted Lady, is this 1927 home now selling. I recently had a tour through it with my camera and I’m here to share the photos with you. The home, located in West Seattle’s character-rich North Admiral, is selling for $544,000. That price will net you 2,370 square feet in 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. While this property does need its fair share of updating (the kitchen), it’s a nice window into an unaltered 1920’s home. Give the photos a look and hit the listing if you’re in the market.

Looks like the sale is pending. Glad to see that.

It’s so nice to be back in Seattle where a home like this is only $544,000. I lived in Ventura, California for three years and there was a home down the street from us that was 756 square feet with barely any yard to speak of that was on sale for $650,000. So while Seattle real estate prices seem high, just look what you could buy here that in California, would easily be a million dollar home.
Love the blog, by the way. Keep up the good work!

Brandon, if it makes you feel better, our Zestimate of the home http://www.zillow.com/HomeDetails.htm?o=South&zprop=49124110 has the value near $625,000, in a range of $537,500 - $681,250… which makes it easily comparable to the price you’re expecting.
Looks like a lovely home, I really like the upstairs windows.

We introduced a minor bug in our site refresh last night which temporarly breaks the link I posted. For now, use this link, http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/4423-SW-Seattle-St/49124110_zpid?scrnnm=ryanb, but the Birds Eye View will only show you the back of the house unless you view the “Birds Eye View & Map” page, following the link on the left of the page.
Cliffe, you could link to properties on our site in this way in the future, and if you create an account and add the scrnnm parameter like I did in this link, your readers would have a quick link back to VintageSeattle.org as well. If you have questions or would like to know more about some of the features we have on our site that you may be able to use, email me. Find out more about cobranding on Zillow Blog.
I subscribed to your RSS feed a couple months ago and I haven’t regretted it at all.
