And yet as a transplanted Canuck in Houston, Texas, I'd love just a half inch of the stuff now. Even if I KNOW it would shut down all of Harris County!

Winnie: Point taken. But the only reason I'm complaining is because one inch of snow is threatening a few days of my workweek. It's the shear absurdity of it! That's what happens when you grow up on the east coast.

As much as the streetcars used in various places around the world were and are wonderful things, it didn't take much snow or ice to shut the systems down. But really, guys, suck it up. We had 18 inches in about 16 hours starting at 9am friday here in the frozen north. And then it dropped 12 degrees celcius to -14 degrees meaning now everything is froxen solid. It's not too bad getting around but parking is a nightmare since they seem to have just shoved it off the road into the parking spaces.

I was hoping you'd post some snow photos! West Seattle looks pretty bad, from last night's alarmist newsreporting on Northwest Cable News. Stay warm and safe!
