And I’m back. Dug up a couple of nice color shots from the World’s Fair. You can never have too many of those. The more interesting ones shows Memorial Stadium with Tommy Bartlett’s Water Ski Sky and Stage Show. Looks wild. Click for higher res.

Great color shots – I have no idea how you dig up all of this stuff.

I am a little concerned now as to what you see as a “wild time”…..

Loving the fake mini-lake they made, since Seattle is pretty much devoid of any.

Au contraire Matt. We used to have the limited hydroplanes race on Green Lake every summer until the Californicators decided that was not appropriate. I don’t know why. A lot of noise for one weekend a year, It was a perfect bandbox race couurse with good viewing all around the lake.

    Progress, BAH HUMBUG!!!.

I have to see I enjoyed the photos and it was nice to the articles that you have written about Seattle. I am born and bread in Seattle and was there opening day of the worlds fair and it is one of my best memories as a child.
