That's definitely a season ticket, and would not indicate a price per game. Take a look at what it costs for the same Mariners seats today, field box second row...um, you can't because those are not for general sale. But about 30 rows back, which is WAY further back than my grandads old Standard Oil box seats at Sicks Stadium, it will cost you about $6,600 bucks for a pair. The amenities are nicer, but the Pilots ducats were not a bad deal. Those were folding chairs too, with metal rails around each box and a little sign with your name. A few years later when the minor league Rainiers returned, you could have the same seat for a couple of bucks. Sic transit gloria.

I can't explain why the price is so high, though I asked a baseball aficionado friend and his guess is that it's a season ticket price that's printed on each ticket.

Hey Tim, welcome from BubbleLand.

Hey, that game was supposed to be on my birthday! Only, a few years before I was actually born...

Interesting to note that the ridiculous language similar to today's "any rebroadcast, retransmission, or account of this game, without the express written consent of Major League Baseball, is prohibited" has been around since 1970.

Also, the above comment from "John" is spam. I received an identical generic comment today to Seattle Bubble, and a Google search for that exact phrase yields over 50,000 results.
