  1. This really was a cool thing. A young woman (or young man, for that matter) could arrive in the big city and begin making their way, taking relatively inexpensive rooms at the Young Men’s or Women’s Christian Association, breaking fast and taking tea with newfound friends, pooling energies and ideas, networking, etc. A lot of things made sense the olden days. But here I go again. Somebody throw a blanket over me… Thanks for this post Jess. For some reason it just makes my day.
