Max R. Jensen gets us started this week with a photograph showing the West Coast Paper Company. A quick Google Street View shows there are no longer “reams of satisfaction” at 5001 1st Ave South. Click for the high res.
I think the building still stands, one block south of your construction site seen on Google maps. The overhead view shows the building was extended south sometime in the past, but the other details, placement of windows, etc., still match.

Looks like it’s “Quality First and Service Always!” now — and they’ve moved to Kent.
This building was torn down just a couple of years ago. I don’t think the water tower was still there.
now that the paper zone has closed –I am looking for a place to buy the alumin imbeded paper and envlopes –dang I miss them
