Today we move on with Part 2 of our World’s Fair Sliding feature — if you missed Part 1 just
click here. As I excitedly told you last week, my inbox was stuffed with some fantastic images submitted by VS reader Josh Salwitz.
He’d hit the jackpot while doing an art project by finding a batch of Seattle World’s Fair photos at the Salvation Army. Here are eight more shots. As always, click on the image for higher res.

Loving these! I always get a little irritated when I want to take a scenery photo but there are cars in the frame – I always feel like they will ruin the shot. But I LOVE that there are cars in these photos! So I think I won’t be so frustrated trying to get a car-free photo anymore. Maybe I’ll even try to get as many cars as possible in it. . .
I love that shot from the house up on Queen Anne! Think we could figure out which house that is?
From a quick look at Google Maps, I’d say that house is probably slightly up the hill from this location: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=47.628255,-122.352703&spn=0,0.003369&t=h&z=19&layer=c&cbll=47.628156,-122.352689&panoid=XkirJeVhhRWC1aNXZD9M9w&cbp=12,159.51,,0,5.29
Great photos! I’d love to see these uploaded to Seattle Center Foundation’s online Time Capsule for the 50th Anniversary of the 1962 World’s Fair. And any more you have!
The World’s Fair Time Capsule is at http://www.thenextfifty.org
Cheers!
