It’s Friday and what better day is there to celebrate the life of storied Seattle photographer Max R. Jensen? The man seemed to capture it all through the years, especially the ’62 World’s Fair. Here’s one of his shots of the U.S. Science Building Spires and Space Needle. Click for high res and have a good weekend.

The Arches of Science- Long a favorite of mine, and backdropped by the orange Needle, even better. What this town has against color, I’ll never know.
I agree! The Needle looked so much better back then. And before they made that addition part way up… now it looks like its girdle is falling down.
I do love the pink suit on the lady in this picture… now that’s a pretty color!
Gorgeous photo! I want this as a wall-sized poster in my house!
Orange would sure be a bright spot on dreary, gray days. I suppose it would clash with the EMP, though.
Went to the Science Center with my son last week. I hadn’t been there for awhile. It’s looking a little run-down and could really stand some sprucing up.
Odd, I don’t remember the top of the Needle being orange…
