Another landmark gone. We lived in the Alki apartments(#4)for several years and this was a great little restaurant
Gosh I miss this blog.
Gosh I hope this blog hasn’t died!
Are you coming back? I miss this blog.
I’m just another reader who really misses this blog . . . (wow – a lot of commenters with the names beginning with “j”)
We want you back in egoshooter business.. cs:go is crappy
Wow, has it really been since May already? Like others have stated, I miss the updates as well. Hopefully all is well.
This blog going to ever come back? It was excellent!
The Quesnell family operated a small restaurant out over the water in the lower house. My girlfriend and I lived in thee neighborhood at the time (1983-84)and eat there often. You sort of had to know about it by “word of mouth.” I believe it closed around 1987.
I hope this blog comes back!
Since the blog seems somewhat dead, I set up a Facebook community on this subject. Please come and contribute if you have some old pictures of our city.
Where s Cliffe?
What happened to him?
I love this blog, miss it and hope he returns.
Tiffany’s Vintage Seattle Facebook page is awesome – I also wanted to mention “Vintage King County – Washington” on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/VintageKingCounty
When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that service? Thanks!| book cheap flight http://www.funtraveldeals.com/book-flights/
Practically all of the comments on this website don’t add up.
While this site is a treasure-trove, it appears a year has gone by without a meaningful post. Perhaps someone passed away? Just wondering…
This is a new impact upon existing websites and threads. When someone who has spearheaded these threads passes, it just kind of stays there. I don’t know what answer is, as this type of technology is relatively new. Perhaps someone either from the family or know about the family can add additional information and complete the process of either closing the site, or moving it to an additional person. That would be my hope, as there is a tremendous amount of information/pictures here that should be maintained.
really awesome blog, thanks for sharing http://www.shudrul.com
It’s October 2013, and there have been no postings since May 2012. Like so many others, I sincerely hope Cliffe will return to this incredibly rich, informative, and essential blog… Thank you, Cliffe, wherever you are, for this great resource!
I too miss Jeff’s postings. I collect old Seattle images and enjoy sharing them with those who find Seattle history fascinating. I provided Jeff a few of the images that he shared on this blog with his followers. For those who like vintage Seattle images, I recommend Paul Dorpat’s blog: http://pauldorpat.com/
Paul provides in an depth illustrated history on Seattle’s past each Sunday when he expands on his Now & Then story found in the Sunday Times.
